OneCMS features a powerful custom fields manager that allows for massive customization of an install with ease and speed. All fields are stored in the fielddata table.

Custom Field Options

When creating a custom field you are greeted to the following options,

Global Field

A Global Field is present on all categories. This reduces the need for having multiple custom fields options that are all the same but for different categories. Having a Global Field called "Short" for example, will have a "Short" Text Box or Text Field appear on all of your categories.

Previously one had to create a "Short" field for each individual category.

Games
A games custom field is present on all games and can be accessed on through the "Manage Games" area of the admin panel or on the front end by using {FIELD NAME HERE} on a game page.

User Profiles
A user profiles custom field is shown on a user's profile.

Categories
If you want to create a custom field that is exclusive to a single category, simply choose a category from the drop down box to the right of the drop down box which contains Global Field, Games, etc.

Custom Field Types

Currently, the following types are officially supported by OneCMS.

Text Box
This gives you a text box where ever the field is called. If you have a Global Field called "Short" for example, each of the categories that contain the "Short" box will show a Text Box.

Text Field
Similar to the text box, a text field simply gives you a field where ever the category is called.
