In version 2.6 we introduced the plugin manager giving you more control over your installation when it comes to new features. You would think this would make the Modules Manager pretty obsolete now, right? Partially correct, instead of removing it we tweaked it a bit to give you added control over what features your CMS has.

 While we recommend using the Plugin Manager for any future modifications, if you want to add functionality to the site that doesn't need the Plugin Manager we recommend using the Modules Manager instead.
